Giacomo Pedrotti

Giacomo Pedrotti was born in Venice, Italy, on 27 March 1995. In 2015 he began his three-year acting studies at the Accademia Teatrale Carlo Goldoni in Venice. He graduated in 2018 and changed course to shift the focus on directing and screenwriting. In 2020 he directed his first short film, dramedy “Zeitnot - Allegro ma non troppo", co-written with Alice Manzati. Later he devoted himself to the horror genre with two short films inspired by children games and the use of scary jumpscares, “Grandmother's Footsteps" and “Hide and Seek". In October 2020, he returned to the stage as Assistant Director in Trittico Dantesco, a three-part play inspired by Dante's Divine Comedy directed by Fabrizio Arcuri and produced by Padua's Teatro Stabile del Veneto. In 2021 he went on to establish the independent production company AriesFilm with Enrica Cortese and Alice Manzati. In 2022 he submitted with AriesFilm his latest screenplay, short film “Au Revoir, Melograno", to the Film Commission Valle D'Aosta and won the regional call Film Fund for contributions to film and television productions. Filming for “Au Revoir, Melograno" began in May, 2022. Post-production was completed in October, 2022.
