Gianluca Della Monica was born in Rome on May 25, 1981. From an early age he was intrigued by the world of cinema and growing up he fell in love with directing, a passion he cultivated over the years. In 2010 he created the web-series Revolution which was selected at the Trailer Film Fest in the "Pitch trailer" section and the following year he took part in the first edition of the Roma Web Fest, winning the "Audience Award", "Best Production", "Best Set Design and costumes" and the special prize "Roma location". In 2013 it reached the final at the Melbourne Web Fest in the "Best foreign series" category and subsequently the series was optioned by Conde Nast for the CN Live web project. In 2014 the first production for the cinema arrives: the film Dirsi Addio, in which he participates as director of the episode based on a story by Paolo Di Paolo (finalist for the Strega award), with Giobbe Covatta and Barbara De Rossi. He also directs Cosimo Cinieri and Matilda Lutz in the film's prologue and epilogue. Also in 2014 he directed the music video "L'Anamour", cover of the historical song by Serge Gainsbourg performed by Nathalie and soundtrack of the film Saying Goodbye. In 2016 he realized the shorts “Carmen” and “The Last Fisherman”.
