Four tiktoker. A limou. A party. A dead man.
Simone Marino was born in Rome in 1996. After graduating in philosophy from the University of Rome La Sapienza, he worked as a directing intern for the TV series "The new pope" by Paolo Sorrentino and as casting assistant for the film "L'immensità" by Emanuele Crialese. He was admitted to the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia's directing course for the three-year period 2020-2022, thanks to his first short film "Un figlio" (The son) (2019). In 2020, he shot the documentary "Potrebbe Piovere" (It Could be Raining), while in 2021 he made "Il dilemma del porcospino" (The hodgeog’s dilemma) and "Houseparty". In 2022, as part of the Sugar Project between the Sugar Music record company and the CSC Centro, he was chosen to direct a "poliziottesco" short film, "Il caso è chiuso, andate in pace" (The case is closed, go in peace). The film was selected at the Turin Film Festival as a special event. His final graduation short film, entitled “Il difetto dell’astice blu” (The oddity in the blue lobster), is currently in post-production.
